21st International Dragon Boat Race Festival – Toronto

Started in 1989 and became an international festival in 1993, the Toronto Chinese Business Association is organizing its 21st International Dragon Boat Race Festival in Toronto on June 20 and June 21, 2009 which will be held at Toronto Centre Island.

With only 27 team participants back in 1989, it has successfully grown to reach the full capacity in managing the event of 180 teams with over 5,000 athletes participating in the festival.  This year it will continue to be one of the most exciting summer events in Canada with the combination of culture, sports and ethnic group performances.
